Creel Caught Langoustines

The langoustines available from MacKerlich Seafood are creel caught by our local fishermen from the crystal clear waters around the Isle of Skye. Creel fishing is a marine friendly and sustainable way to fish. The creels lie on the seabed and are left there for the langoustine to crawl in. The creels are then brought to the surface and aboard the boats where the fishermen take good care of them before they are landed. Sometimes the creels come up empty and sometimes each creel can bring 2 – 5 langoustine to the surface. Creel caught langoustines are very healthy as they straight from the sea to your door.
